So this might be my first attempt at writing fiction. I had thought about it a while ago. But got the right words to complete it today. It’s a very short, tiny, mini, chintu, pintu story about two guys, two rebels. Let’s see how it turns out.
So here we go!
It was a hot sunny day. Every living soul was looking for a shed; no one wanted to burn. Still it wasn’t as hot as last year. In this heat, at this time of the day, the two of them decided to take a dip in the red sea. The sea wasn’t just red. It was boiling hot because of the scorching heat. The two of them got out of the house wearing nothing, flaunting their eight pack abs. They knew no one would be around to look. No one dared to get out in the afternoon. They came near the seashore and the sand and salty air burned their eyes. A gush of wind filled their nostrils with salt. But they had decided to soak their parched and baked bodies in the red sea and no one was there to stop them.
They sat there in the sand and enjoyed the view for a while. They felt proud to have taken this brave step. The rebel inside them felt satisfied. One of them started walking toward the red waves. The waves were colliding with each other and rising. On their way back they took some sand with them which was red too. The other one decided to take a nap in the red sand. It was only after he heard his friend’s cries that he opened his eyes. To his surprise he saw that his friend was drowning. He was getting engulfed by the rising red waters. His body was falling apart. And little by little he vanished into the waters below. The other one wasted no time and ran for his drowning friend’s rescue. He splashed the boiling red water as he dived headfirst into the waves. He looked everywhere but the red sea got thicker and darker below the surface. There was no way he could see. He tried to open his eyes underwater, but the boiling liquid burned his eyes. He immediately realised that it was a bad idea. But he was too late. As he started swimming back to the shore, he felt his body crumbling. At first his legs dissolved. Then his torso and finally as he was inches away from touching the sand, his hands and head dissolved too.
There was no one who saw them drowning. No soul had a clue of their whereabouts. The only witness was the one above them. The one almighty who had taken them out of their house, put them on the beach, taken them by their head and thrown them in the red sea. Only he was the eye witness of their death. And only he extracted their bodies from the bottom of the sea without anyone else’s knowledge and threw them in the dustbin.
This is how Krack Jack lived, and this is how they died..
(Krack & Jack are biscuits by the way! :P)
The End!
Do let me know your remarks and reviews. Cheers! 😀
